We are tackling 31% of global carbon emissions with a single product.

Embodied carbon is the energy required to manufacture building materials. manufacturing insulation represents 3% of global carbon emissions.

Operational carbon is the energy required to light, heat and cool our buildings, and it is responsible for 28% of European emissions. This could be reduced by up to 80% with effective insulation compared to a non insulated building.

Where We Are

Mykor's Pilot Factory in Montemor-O-Novo, Portugal.

Montemor-O-Novo, Portugal

Our pilot factory is in Montemor-o-Novo, considering the proximity of industrial residues used in our products but also taking advantage of the large solar gains ensuring our electricity is at least 75% solar fuelled year round.

The commercial and marketing team is based in our office in Lisbon, at Casa do Impacto, a coworking space open to the impact community.

Our bio-fabrication process at Mykor

Our bio-fabrication process uses previously low valorised industrial by-products and residues. This guarantees that the manufacturing process is not only low in carbon but also fully circular, renewable, and recyclable.
