Mykor´s Insulation Rise in Sustainable Solution - UKGBC Trends Report 2023

UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) is a charity and industry-led network with a mission to radically improve the sustainability of the built environment. In their recently published report on "Trends in Sustainable Solutions in the Built Environment 2023", the UKGBC highlighted key observations and emphasised the importance of implementing existing market-ready solutions alongside the pursuit of innovations.

The report included a diverse set of themes shaping the sustainable solutions landscape. From incentivising and enabling ESG outcomes to smart buildings, optimisation and operational efficiency, the report captures the dynamic nature of the sustainable building sector.

Under the theme Innovative Building Materials, the UKGBC mentioned the increase in traction from bio-based materials. Among the highlighted materials, Mykor was featured - as a low-carbon mycelium insulation material aiming to scale production, following the same trajectory seen with hemp materials in the UK market.

It is truly an honour for Mykor to be recognised in such a significant report alongside influential industry players. This acknowledgement not only validates the innovation and potential impact of mycelium insulation but also positions Mykor as a key player in the ongoing decarbonisation of the construction industry.
